Senior League Baseball Division
The Senior League Baseball Division is for boys and girls 13-16 years old, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.

The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 13-16-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Junior League division), and the team may enter the International Tournament.
This is entirely the choice of the local league board of directors

The culmination of the International Tournament is the Senior League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world. All expenses for the teams advancing to the World Series (travel, meals and housing) are paid by Little League International.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this teenage division of Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league. 

Junior League Baseball Division
The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 12-14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Modified diamond dimensions may be used during the regular season.

The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 12-14-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Senior League Division), and the team may enter the International Tournament.

Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division
The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division was introduced in January, 2010, as a pilot program for 12- and 13-year-olds which utilizes a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths.

The division, which is new division of Little League Baseball in 2013 for players league-age 11-13 with postseason tournament opportunities, including a World Series, offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior/Big League field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths).

Many of the Junior League rules will be used such as runners being permitted to lead off bases, runners may attempt to steal at any time, and allowing an on-deck batter.

Major Little League Baseball Division
The Little League Baseball Division (also known as the Major Division) is for boys and girls ages 9-12.

A local league may choose to limit its Major Division to 10, 11 and 12-year-olds, or 11 & 12-year-olds. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 11-12-year-olds from within this division, and the team may enter the International Tournament.
This is entirely the choice of the local league board of directors.

IMPORTANT: A local league must only have ONE Major Division. For instance, if the local league has all 11-12 year olds in the Majors, and all 9-10s in another division, then the 9-10s MUST be considered a Minor Division.

Minor League Baseball Division (Player Pitch)
Minor League Baseball programs for boys and girls may be operated within each division for younger players with less experience. The minor league may be players ages 7-11.

Divisions may be established within the Minor League for "machine pitch," "coach-pitch" or "player-pitch." By local option, a player who is league-age 5 (use the Little League Age Calculator to determine your child's League Age for the current year) for the current season and has played a year in Tee Ball may be "moved up" to a coach-pitch division. A local league might have its 7-8-year-olds in the Minor League Coach Pitch Division, while its 9-10-year-olds are in the Minor League Player-Pitch Division. However, by local option, some of the 9-year-olds could "play down" in the coach-pitch division, and some of the 8-year-olds could "play up."

Tee-Ball Baseball Division
Players who are league age 4-7 are eligible to be selected to a Tee Ball team.

Players who are league age 5 that have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to a Minor League Division - Coach Pitch Team.
The local league board of directors may decide the age-cutoffs within this age grouping.

Challenger league Baseball Division
The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. 

Who can participate in the Little League Challenger Program? 
Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age). 

Is there a cost to participate in the Challenger Program? 
Each local Challenger Program sets its own policy with respect to registration fees. No player may be denied the opportunity to participate based on the inability to pay a registration fee. 

What rules are followed during a Challenger game? 
Flexibility and adaptability are key during Challenger games. Little League provides all chartered teams with a rulebook that includes a best practices guide to operating a Challenger Game. Typically games are 1-2 innings long and last about an hour. All players play defensively and bat every inning. 

What are “buddies” and what role do they have in the Challenger Division? 
Buddies are individuals who assist Challenger athletes in the areas of batting, base running and defense, but only as needed. Often buddies are peer athletes who are participating in the Little League Baseball or Softball program. Read more on the responsibility of buddies. 

What type of field are Challenger Games played on? 
Challenger games may be played on a traditional or synthetic baseball or softball field. Little League encourages the use of traditional fields for the Challenger Program so that participants can enjoy playing on the same fields as other Little Leaguers in the community.
